Mitch DOBROWNER : Landscape and Storm Photographer

Mitch DOBROWNER is an American photographer and one of the rising stars of black-and-white landscape photography. His photos of storms and desert landscapes have won numerous awards, including the Iris d’Or at the Sony World Photography Awards in 2012 for his ‘Storms’ series. As a storm chaser, Mitch DOBROWNER has made nature his playground. By highlighting its majesty, he reminds us that humanity’s presence on Earth is only temporary.

Among the photographers he admires, Mitch DOBROWNER mentions Ansel ADAMS and Minor WHITE, with whom he shares a common ecstasy for landscapes. In 2017, while an exhibition of his work was organized at Google’s request, Mitch DOBROWNER delivered a series of lectures on his approach to photography.
