NASA: Pioneer of Space and Aeronautical Exploration
NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is an independent American government agency responsible for space and aeronautical research. Founded on July 29, 1958, it was established to oversee civilian space programs, which were previously managed by the U.S. Army. NASA took over the functions and infrastructure of the NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) and is now the world’s foremost space agency. Vintage photographs capturing the epic moments of the space race hold invaluable documentary, historical, and aesthetic significance.
