On November 17th 1961, between champagne, silk sheets and with a Frank SINATRA music… Douglas KIRKLAND photographed Marilyn MONROE the time of an evening. It is during this very intimate session that Douglas shot a series of portraits that were going to make him famous. For Marilyn, it is probably the photos showing the better, the joy and the sweetness she could convey. Very spontaneous portraits in which sensuality and ingenuity met.
